Paid Call Dispatcher
We are actively recruiting Paid Call Dispatchers,
(PCD)
to gain experience and support emergency dispatching. Paid Call
Dispatchers assist in the mobilization and record keeping of
resources that respond to
emergencies for the County Fire Department. If you are interested in
becoming a Paid Call Dispatcher, please contact the

Fire Fighter I
Fire Fighter I is a seasonal, temporary classification used by
CAL FIRE.
Fire Fighter I hiring usually occurs each April, May, or June,
depending upon the upcoming fire season conditions.
The minimum qualification to participate in the Fire Fighter I
examination is that you must be 18 years of age at the time of
appointment to a Firefighter I position.
You must file a
Fire Fighter I application
(1.1MB PDF) at each CDF Unit in which
you wish to be considered for appointment. For a listing of CDF
Units, please refer to

Contacts".
The filing period for the
2008 fire season (54K PDF) is the first business day of November
2007 through the last business day of January 2008.
Applications will not be accepted at Sacramento
Headquarters, Region Offices, or Conservation Camps.
